*RT. HON. JOHNSON EGWAKHIDE OGHUMA DESERVES A PRINCIPAL OFFICER POSITION IN THE NINTH ASSEMBLY.*
*RT. HON. JOHNSON EGWAKHIDE OGHUMA DESERVES A PRINCIPAL OFFICER POSITION IN THE NINTH ASSEMBLY.*

As the dust over the inauguration of the Ninth NASS settles following the successful inauguration of the two chambers, the consideration for the election of other principal officers of the two chambers hots up.
In the light of this, committed people of impeccable characters should be given due consideration in filling these positions when the two chambers return and reconvene from their ongoing recess in July, 2019.
As Part of criteria to be applied in dealing with this, lawmakers from areas the governing All progressive congress(APC) made significant success during the last general elections should be considered.
In this regard, it is our opinion and belief that whichever principal office is to be zoned to the south-south region most especially in the house of representatives, the number one consideration should be the strength of the Party in each State that make up the geopolitical zone.when further narrowed down, the constituency that gave the bulk of the votes in these States should have the upper hand of being offered the position.
If the above analysis is anything to go by, then it is on record that Edo State, amongst other States of the South-South gave the highest number of votes to the APC. in all of the elections of
2019.
When further narrowed down, Etsako Federal Constituency overwhelmingly dominated every other constituency in Edo State and indeed, the entire south-south States in terms of the total votes received by the APC which stands at about 65%' 0f the entire votes gathered by the party
APC.
In consideration of the above scenario, it will not be out of place, and justifiably so, that the Rt. Hon. Johnson Egwakhide Oghuma representing Etsako Federal Constituency should be considered for any of the principal offices proposed to be zoned to the south-south geopolitical zone in the ninth Assembly (House of representatives).
*Apart from the voting strength and support of this Federal constituency for the APC, the honourable member representing the same constituency in the house has the relevant experience, Capacity and Competence to occupy any of the remaining principal offices yet to be filled in the green chamber as he has been a ranking member of Parliament.*
In addition, Hon Johnson E. Oghuma has been very committed and dedicated to the "Gbajiabiamilla Project" and by extension, the party APC.
Therefore, in the spirit of equity, fairness and justice, this vibrant lawmaker representing Etsako Federal constituency, Edo State should be given the opportunity to serve as a principal officer in the ninth Assembly.
