HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ETSAKO CENTRAL CHAIRMAN

ETSAKO CENTRAL CHAIRMAN ADDS ONE

Men make their own history but they do not make it as they please. They do not make it under self-selected circumstances, but under circumstances existing already given and transmitted from the past. Good people are hard to come by,  the uncomfortable truth is that this world despises good people. Human beings have a natural instinct to either extinguish the spatter of lights that do almost tangible darkness around us, or cover it up. We are always quick to kill the better people in our society or to drag them into the mud with us. We are comfortable with the motion that some people can be good while we swim in our filth.

In the same vain, it is no longer a news that Com. John Osi Akhigbe aka Akpogu is the chairman, Etsako Central local government area. This is becoming a reality in recent times having seen some of his works at the local government council. For some who have been opportune to be at the council's secretariat either as a visitor or staff will attest to the fact that it is better at times to give an experienced person a chance. In fact, Com. John Osi Akhigbe is among few chairmen today who have actually demonstrated and proven himself worthy of being a local government chairman and however written his name with golden pen in the hearts of the people.

The young gentleman born today 20th of May, whose birthday we are all celebrating prayed and worked very hard with determination to ensure that one day he will be at the apex of affairs when his impact will be generally felt, but today not only as local government chairman but has demonstrated that his choice was never a misplacement of opportunity, hence, he is driven by the need to build a virile local government that is worthy of emulation.

It is also on record that Com. Akhigbe brings to the people the creative policies that promote wide prosperity, unity, infrastructural development, peace, stability and justice in the local government as he equally encouraged enhancement of security in the area as a way of preventing social vices. Thus, the historic and noble chapter of the local government is that the chairman is doing what is right so that when history writes its account of this day, it will write that he lived up to his moral duties by doing what the moment requires.

The local government chairman as an articulate and vibrant young man is open to ideas, consultative and sensitive to the welfare of the people, these are evidently shown in the way and manner he discharge his duty even without fear or favour.
A lot has been said and written about the chairman's both human and infrastructural development since he became the local government chairman, hence, needless to mention here those achievements as they are so numerous and endless. A candid assessment of the chairman reveals that his genuine desire to develop the local government was not on the inscription only on the pages of newspapers, it is also stenciled in the hearts of the people.

God makes kings, people shape history. And a compelling chapter in the local government's book of history is in the works of the chairman today. The joyous mood of the people today showed that God smiled at the local government by chosen him as the chairman despite all odds. It is not because the secretariat is wearing a new look as a result of the expansion of the legislative chamber and the council's hall, these are no longer news in Com. Akhigbe's administration. It is the signature that defines leadership and differentiate leaders as he is a true leader to the core.

Today, history has it that the local government has never been on the web as it is now under the leadership of Com John Osi Akhigbe, the local government can be view worldwide which has earned him several awards and recognitions.

Com. Akhigbe becoming the chairman is like an eye opener to everyone and pace-setter especially those who never thought he could do so much in the local government as they have witnessed a tremendous achievements. In one of my write up in the past, I indeed say that his critics will join hands with his fans to praise him at the end of his tenure when they see the stuff he is made off.

In wishing the chairman happy birthday, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Robert Elamah on behalf of others congratulated the chairman for adding another fruitful year to his age. He described the chairman as a leader who knows the way and goes the way and who God has sent to the people of the local government saying that it is a real opportunity to have somebody like Com. John Osi Akhigbe as a local government chairman, little wonder the name "Akpogu" is household name among the people in the local government area.

He said the chairman had made his impact in the entire local government area in the past right from when he was the Director of Protocol to the former state governor, Com Adams Oshiomhole, what we owe him is our prayers to continue to impact his leadership wisdom on the followers".

On behalf of other Special Assistants,  as you celebrate your birthday today, we the beneficiaries of your landmark contribution to the development of mankind can only wish you more success and achievements in your life's sojourn. As countless as sand at the seashore so shall the rest of your days be on earth. Happy birthday Sir, and many happy returns.
