*ETSAKO WEST COUNCIL BOSS PRESENTS A DRAFT OF THE 2019 BUDGET TO LEGISLATIVE ARM OF GOVERNMENT.*

In a bid to embark on the execution of capital projects, ranging from the construction of healthcare facilities, boreholes and other related structures in the LGA, the Council boss, Rtn. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa has today presented a proposed budget estimate of N3,133,752,905.32 (Three billion, one hundred and thirty three million, seven hundred and fifty two thousand, on nine hundred and five naira and thirty two kobo) only, as the year 2019 Budget for your consideration and approval which was broken down into capital and recurrent expenditure.
The budget termed " Budget of Rejuvenation" will be prudentially and strategically implemented for the speedy development of the entire LGA ,through the generation of funds internally and ensuring that all loopholes/ leakages are blocked and also working assiduously towards ensuring the following.
i. Recovery of all Outstanding rates/levies due to the council
ii. Timely release of available funds for projects to be executed.
iii. Dogged exploration of untapped revenue areas.
iv. Strict implementation of the LGA approved levies/ rates by way of combiing the nooks and crannies of the LGA.
v. Involvement of interested private firms in Public Private Partnership endeavours
vi. Strict monitoring of existing revenue areas, especially those with low income returns, with a view to ensuring remittance.
Leader of the Legislative Arm of the Council, Hon. Kelvin Mohammed, eulogized the council boss as he received the budget proposal and promised to work assiduously as a team with his fellow distinguished honouable members, with a view to ensuring its speedy passage via accelerated hearing.
The budget, According the council boss in his closing remarks, is firmly predicated on the expected revenues accruable to the LGA in the year under review, while appealing for its speedy passage via accelerated hearing by the distinguished honourable members, so as to ensure that he hits the ground running and write the administration's name in marble, particularly in the area making Etsako West the best amongst the comity of LGAs nationwide.
